In the works The Wrong Thing to Do, I merge archival family
photographs with contemporary self-portraits to explore how intergenerational trauma
manifests physically in the body. By juxtaposing past and present images, I aim to
examine the ways in which inherited emotional and psychological wounds are carried
through generations, subtly imprinting themselves on our physical forms and lived
experiences. These visual narratives offer a meditation on memory, identity, and the
unspoken legacies that shape both individual and collective bodies.
